The Kemen'ren

Kemen'ren spells involve the casting of spells in, and related to the element of earth. Earth elementalists are extremely at home in earthen areas such as in underground tunnels and natural surroundings. If the mage's bare feet are not touching the ground, he must make his spell check at -4 and spells operate at 2 levels lower effectiveness.

A Kemen'ren personality is as solid as rock, very rare is a kemen'ren who varies his beliefs in the least. Kemen'ren often associate with druids or priests of Siem, and only very rarely visit cities or chantries. There are no formal schools of earth and their numbers are hard to determine because of this. Kemen'ren are often trusted much more so than any of the other elementalists (especially compared to fire) by the common man.

Kemen'ren are very rarely spelljammer mages, unless their is a dire reason for leaving a planet. Though if any lifeless asteroid is encountered, a kemen'ren will be hard pressed to resist trying to make it life supporting. For this very reason, many kemen'ren never actually make it out of any given crystal sphere.

Note: Not all Kemen'ren are spellcasters. Sages, librarians, contributors, honorary members, scribes, as well as others may hold titles. There is no Virana of this shek p'var and several Shenava. Only spellcasters suffer the side effects.
