This defensive power allows a psionicist to deflect a missile in flight or a weapon in mid-swing in order to make it miss its target. He may attempt this on a weapon targeted at himself or someone else. The psionicist must have a better initiative than the attacker and hold his action until the attacker actually fires a missile or swings a weapon. If the psionicist successfully initiates deflect, the weapon misses its target automatically.

Deflect can he used on any thrown, fired, or hand-held weapon, including giant-thrown boulders or ballista bolts. It has no effect on creatures attacking with their own natural weaponry, such as teeth or claws.
Racial Abilities
Detect secret doors - Because of their acute senses, half-elves are quick to spot concealed doors and hidden entranceways. Merely passing within 10' of a concealed door allows an elf a one-in-six chance (a 1 on 1d6) to notice it. If actively searching, an elf's chances improve to a two-in-six chance (1 or 2 on 1d6) to find secret doors, and a three-in-six (1, 2, or 3 on 1d6) to notice a concealed door.
Infravision - Infravision with a range of 60'.
Less sleep - The half-elf requires only four hours worth of sleep to be rested. This is especially valuable to spellcasters.
Sword bonus - +1 bonus to attack rolls with long or short swords.
Class Abilities
    Hit point bonus - d10 is used as Hit Point die.
    Resist energy drain - +1 bonus to saves vs. enegry draining attacks.
    Warrior-priests - Gain warrior bonuses for high strength and constitution.
    Turn undead - Allows the cleric to turn undead at +2 to die roll.
    Detect Lie - A successful WIS check at -2 per use per day after the first. A failed check means no further lies can be detected in that day.
    Lay on Hands - Touch can heal 2 hit points per level once per day.
    Protection from Evil, 10' radius - Upon gaining 3rd level, receive a +1 per 3 levels to a maximum of +4 aT 12th level). This power can be used for 1 turn, 3 times per day.
    Calm Chaos - Can cast free 5 times per day.
    Holy Weapon Use - Upon 6th level the priest can use good holy weapons as a paladin. Further, if the weapon is of Larani origin, he also receives specialist bonuses (+1 To Hit, +2 Damage, and increased attack rate).

Character History
My parents and I lived on a small farm on the far outskirts of town when we were attacked by a roaming band of creatures. My mother told me to hide in the woods, while she went to help my father defeat the vile creatures. They faced overwhelming odds and they quickly lost there lives and the creatures burned our farm to the ground. I held my mother in my arms as she breathed her last breath.

I was found by a wandering Priest of Larani, who welcomed me into his order and raised me in the ways of Larani.

While there I swore an oath that from that day forward I would never succumb to a similar experience, it would be instead at my hand.
