Save K'nor's Symbol

Priests of Save K'nor are all of the highest intelligence and willpower. The Savoryan compound also houses the Savoryan shek p'var. Due to the "cornering" of knowledge, this church is as wealthy as the peonians are destitute. Much knowledge know to Savoryan is never released to the "public" (or even the crown). Knowledge is power, and nothing is given away for free.

Savoryan clergymen are often advisors and tutors. They are often found as advisors to the monarchy. They teach and instruct young rulers in the art of diplomacy. Knowing when and where to reveal information is a trait that has to be learned. The Savoryans seem to have a gift of leading people to believe the priests are revealing all they know, when in fact they are not. Some of the rulers of the past depended heavily upon their advise. Savoryans tend to be very loyal those in their counsel. They are rumored to guide rulers through courses of events that they would not have normally undertaken.

As tutors of the upper class, they are learned enough to instruct on many topics (to include, but not limited to): diplomacy, history, military strategy, heraldry, logical reasoning, religion, mathematics, traditions, oral speaking, local politics, and the importance of the Concordat of Illimitable Tome. Whether advisor or tutor, they are always members of the order of Hyn-Aelori.

To be chosen as an advisor from the Hyn-Aelor is a great honor. Advisors must be strong of will and loyalty to the church. They must be able to gain peoples confidence (and to keep it). Those who are considered suitable by the seniors members of the church of Hyn-Aelori will not inform them, but will put them on various tests to verify their integrity. These ordeals will test the subject's intellect, judgement, and their ability to handle stress. Other functions of the order involve guaging other people's usefulness in life, whether it be suitability for rulership, one of the other orders, or for a potential husband, wife, or mistress.

Savoryan ceremonies are notably long and drawn out. These priests are sticklers for getting ceremonies correct down to the letter. It is also not unheard of for some ceremonies to breakdown into heated debates on any number of various issues for hours after the formal ceremony has concluded.

Savoryan priests are normally so immersed in languages that they are reputed to know any rune's meaning at site.
