Siem's Symbol

Siem is the benevolent god of mystery and shadow, magic and dreams, wielder of esoteric powers, and knower of secrets. Being the procreator of both Sindarin and Khuzdul, Siem is unreputedly the eldest and wisest of all the known gods of New Melderyn. Some Sindarin claim that Siem once walked among his people, but has since "laid down his sceptre, and quit Hârn in favor of The Blessed Realm".

Siem is most often depicted as an elven lord draped in robes of flowing green and silver with a wreath of stars upon his head. His face and body bear no clue of age, but his eyes project wisdom, and his aura projects confused feelings of strength and longing. His detatched contenance most likely stems from his affinity with time itself and the ability to perceive the future. Without a doubt the most patient of all the gods, Siem is prepared to wait. A trait that is shared with the elven race. His priests claim that it was he who was first offered the guardianship of the Illimitable Tome, but refused nominating Save K'nor instead.

The priests of Siem are most often elves, druids, rangers and dwarves. Also, priests of Siem are more likely to confuse an enemy than to outright slay them. They keepers of ancient secrets and illusions. Many Sindarin Lyahvi shek p'var revere Siem. Both Sindarin Lyahvi and Siem priests attach great significance and mysticism to the night, stars, and other celestial bodies. To most, Siem is known for his sending of pleasant and oracular dreams, and for the gift of forgetfulness, the salve of unpleasant memories.

The names of the various clerical orders are not even known to those outside the religion, and being that only Sindarin and a few Khuzdul, druids, and rangers worship him this is little surprise. These priests abhor religious temples and always perform services in the sacred outdoors in the twilight hours.
